ALABAMA

Alabama Had A Chance To Act

Politicians were presented with a bill that would have held tech companies accountable when their tools generate illicit images of real people and minors.

They buried it — choosing money and power over protecting Alabama’s kids. Leaving them exposed to predators and bullies.

The next victim could be your child.

The Danger

Warning: The following screen capture video of a real Grok session is an explicit demonstration of what these AI tools are doing to thousands of people every day. The girl in the video is AI-generated, not real, but this is happening to real people (many underaged) on a daily basis.

This is why we are speaking out.

Expose The Corrupted Politicians That Chose to Protect Big Tech Over Our Children

HB 347 was a commonsense bill designed to protect people — especially children — from having their likeness used to create exploitative, AI-generated content without their consent.

It would have created accountability for the companies building and profiting from these tools, while protecting companies making general purpose technologies. It passed unanimously through the state House and Senate and only needed a final vote.

After shady backdoor deals with tech lobbyists, Alabama politicians blocked the final vote from happening. And thought we wouldn’t notice.
